Trichloroacetic Acid Peel
Differentiating between an issue of true skin excess vs skin quality is paramount, and while surgery is effective at dealing with the former, the latter is far better addressed with non-surgical adjuncts.
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) can be used at the time of blepharoplasty to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen production. In general, less improvement can be achieved with a single TCA peel compared to the CO2 laser; however, it can be used for patients with a slightly darker complexion who are therefore not ideal candidates for laser resurfacing.
