Before Your Appointment

Please allot approximately 2 hours for your office visit to allow for the check-in, screening, consultation, and check-out process.

Please be sure to bring the following to your appointment:

  • Full name and location of Family Doctor

  • Alberta Health Care Card (it is important that we are able to look at the card itself)
  • Photo ID with current address if possible
  • Updated list of all medications, including eye drops
  • Any photos that are pertinent to your concerns (to be placed in your chart)
  • An interpreter, should you have any English language barriers
  • NOTE: if you are having vision problems, you may be dilated; remember to bring sunglasses, and arrange for a ride if this is the case.

  • ALSO NOTE: Our office is a fragrance-free environment, and we ask that you refrain from wearing any heavy fragrances (perfume/cologne, lotions, etc.) to your appointment.

Visiting From Out of Town?

We see many patients from out of town, and we do our best to accommodate. Please be sure that you confirm your location (and duration of commute) upon confirming your appointment date and time. Also note, often we request patients who travel from afar to stay overnight in Edmonton after a surgical procedure.

For our out-of-town patients wanting to stay within walking distance of our office, the Matrix Hotel is the closest accommodation, located just one block away.
