Dr. Audrey A. Chan
MD, FRCSC, Dip. ABO
Dr. Audrey Chan was born in Halifax and grew up in Toronto before moving to the U.S. to attend university and medical school in Pennsylvania. After her internship at Tufts Medical Center, she completed her residency training in Ophthalmology and fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where she was also a clinical instructor. After living and training in the U.S. for almost a dozen years, she returned to “The Great White North” to serve Northern and Western Canada’s community.
Dr. Audrey Chan is currently the president of The Canadian Society of Oculoplastic Surgery (CSOPS). As an Associate Professor of the University of Alberta’s Ophthalmology Department faculty, she teaches residents, medical students, and ophthalmic staff. She provides clinical and surgical care at our downtown office, as well as at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Regional Eye Centre.
Dr. Imran Jivraj
MD, FRCSC
Dr. Imran Jivraj is an ophthalmologist who specializes in Oculoplastic Surgery and Neuro-Ophthalmology. He completed an undergraduate degree at McGill University and medical school at the University of Toronto where he was awarded the Golden Stethoscope Award. Following an Ophthalmology residency at the University of Alberta, he completed a Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and an Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto.
He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta and teaches medical students and residents, serves on the Residency Training Committee within the Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Jivraj sees patients at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Stollery, and at Edmonton Eyelids. Above all, he takes pride in offering exceptional and compassionate care to his patients.
Dr. Kelsey A. Roelofs
MD, FRCSC, Dip. ABO
Dr. Kelsey A. Roelofs was born in Edmonton and received her MD from the University of Alberta, where she subsequently went on to complete her residency in Ophthalmology. Thereafter, she embarked on an Ocular Oncology fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, followed by a two-year American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at UCLA. She stayed on as an Assistant Professor at UCLA in the Departments of Ophthalmology and Neurosurgery until 2024, during which time she completed a fellowship in Genomic Medicine.
As a member of the University of Alberta’s Department of Ophthalmology, Dr Roelofs is actively involved in research and teaching. She is available for consultations and performs surgical procedures at both our downtown office and the Royal Alexandra Hospital Regional Eye Center.
Dr. Andrew Ting
MD, FRCSC, Dip. ABO
Dr. Ting was born in Edmonton and completed both his medical school and residency training at the University of Alberta. Subsequently he moved to North Carolina and completed an American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center where he was also an associate clinical instructor.
After living and working in North Carolina for a couple years, while also travelling abroad for overseas mission work in Fiji, Indonesia, and Kenya, he settled back in Edmonton to be closer to family. He looks forward to serving in the Edmonton community in which he was raised.
